Product Information
Fossil Sandstone Walling Stone – Mixed Size
A beautiful natural stone which consists of cream, buff and caramel colour tones that are blended throughout.
The sandy coloured stone is very traditional and is a colour palette that has remained popular for decades.
Natural stone walling is a fantastic alternative to man-made bricks. Natural stone has a unique look and feel that you can’t replicate with a standard brick. The colours and edges are unique, so your wall will look unlike anyone else’s.
The extra work involved in installing a natural wall is entirely worth it. Natural colours, variations and patterns across a single batch of natural stone walling is by far and away superior to a manufactured brick – made your space properly stand out!

- Returns will only be accepted in full, partial orders will be declined.
Understanding Damages in Transit: Key Points
While we prioritise delivering your order in excellent condition, when shipping fragile materials like slabs, occasional breakages can occur. Ordering extra material can help cover rare transit damage or installation mishaps, and ensure your project stays on track.
What You Should Know:
- Reporting Damage: Notify us of any damages within 48 hours and include photos so we can assist you efficiently.
How We Handle Claims - Damages Over £100 exc. vat: We’ll file a claim and arrange replacements.
- Minor Damages (<£100 exc. vat): These fall below the claim threshold, so replacements aren’t available. The construction industry expects a 5–10% breakage rate for fragile materials.
If significant damages occur, weÂ’ll resolve them promptly with replacements (not refunds).

Fossil Mint Sandstone Walling FAQ's
What is Fossil Mint Sandstone walling stone?
Exactly as it says on the tin! Walling stone is a perfect product for building a natural stone wall in any outdoor space.
Why is it sold it weight?
You’ll notice that you buy walling stone as in weight (e.g. 500kg) rather than coverage. This is because the stone has a varying thickness of, on average, 50-80mm. This means there isn’t a guarantee on coverage. We estimate what the coverage will be, but the stone is sold purely on weight.
How do you install Fossil Mint Sandstone walling stone?
The first step is the “course” the stone. This means separate the stone into matching thicknesses, making them easy to lay in even layers (or “courses”). Once the stone is coursed, it can be installed in exactly the same was a regular brick.
Please Note:Â It is relatively tricky to build a wall as a first time DIY job, so we would recommend a professional.
How much Fossil Mint Sandstone walling stone will I need?
As the stone is sold based on weight, it’s a combination of an art and a science to know exactly how much stone you need to purchase. We provide a rough estimate of coverage based on the weight in the dropdowns, but this will be dependent on the ultimate thickness of the stone that arrives.
