Proprietary Asphalt Mixes
Depending on the application, asphalt is designed to achieve varied strength and flexibility. While there are seven general asphalt mixture types in total, there are three common asphalt groups used in the UK.
In this asphalt, aggregate particles are continuously graded to form an interlocking structure bound together with bitumen.
A dense, gap-graded bituminous mixture in which the mortar of fine aggregate, filler and high viscosity binder are major contributors to the final performance of the laid material.
Gap-graded asphalt mixture, composed of a blend of single size coarse crushed aggregate forming a stone skeleton bound with high contents of bitumen.

Our national road surfacing and infrastructure business has extensive experience of highways construction works throughout the UK.
Our Contracting team are also National Highway Sector Scheme 16-accredited.
We provide a full range of services from early contractor involvement, material design and production, to establishing mobile batching plants and carrying out road construction and maintenance.

During his career, Mark has been responsible for sales and distribution of Ready Mixed Concrete, Aggregates and Asphalt for many high-profile projects; including the M11 Stansted Interchange, RAF Mildenhall Runway, the Athlete’s Village (London 2012 Olympics), as well as working in partnership with National Rail to supply aggregates nationally.
