Mick George Community Fund

The Mick George Community Fund supports projects located in close proximity to our landfill sites and other waste treatment facilities, situated throughout the East Midlands and Anglia regions.

Since the initiation of the scheme, we have supported more than 150 separate developments, donating in excess of £4million.

Managed independently by GrantScape, a charity which specialises in grant management, the Mick George Community Fund has two annual application submission rounds, for which applicants must adhere to the qualifying criteria indicated here.

There is approximately £250,000 available each year to assist community initiatives located within the locality of our operating sites. A map of the eligible area can be viewed here.

The minimum amount that can be applied for is £15,000, with a maximum of £30,000 available. Unless by invitation, organisations can only apply for a grant as per the values stated.

The Mick George Community Fund uses an online application process. Applications in other formats will not, therefore, be accepted.

If your group is not able to complete an online application form due to specific communication requirements, please contact GrantScape and they will help you with alternative arrangements.

Applications received after a closing date will be automatically submitted to the next funding round, if available.
