The nature and scope of any given project is always unique and the success of the attributed Bulk Earthworks will be down to many variables; one of which is the Plant and Machinery used to undertake the necessary works.
Subsequently, the Mick George Group continues to invest millions-of-pounds in growing its equipment resource, adding modern and innovative technologies at every opportunity.
Ground excavation requires a lot of careful consideration, with several varying factors such as the materials used in the construction, its size, the surrounding environment and the location of the structure, each determining the most appropriate Plant for the job.
Whether it be an industrial warehouse or a high-rise block of flats, our wholly-owned, Highways England approved range of Excavation and Earthworks Plant enables us to tackle the most demanding projects and terrains.
Our Earthworks Plant consists of over 120 separate machines and contains some of the most exclusive in the UK, including a series of 20-75 tonne excavators (Volvo 750E), D6T / D5N, D3, Caterpillar Dozers, 963 Traxcavators, 25 – 40 tonne Bell ADT’s, and Wirtigen 250i S-Pack for Soil Stabilisation requirements.
Supplementing the larger equipment, we have also added innovative technologies such as Trimble GPS for greater 3D machine control, Engcon and Steel Wrist Tilt-Rotate 5-tonne buckets for accessing typically hard to reach areas, ‘Balloon Tyres’ to reduce ground pressure, permitting continued production even in inclement weather conditions where normal Plant would be unable to operate, as well as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) capable of more accurate Georeferencing Surveys.
Other Resources
Beyond our Earthworks Plant, our other in-house resources include over 600 vehicles of varying design and load capacity; including a range of Tippers, Concrete Barrel Mixers and Skip Loaders, plus Waste Management and Environmental facilities.
