Under current regulations, waste containing gypsum can no longer be mixed with biodegradable waste at a standard landfill site. This regulation applies to waste containing identifiable gypsum-based materials, such as plasterboard, thermal laminates, glass reinforced gypsum (GRG), plasters, cove and ceiling tiles.
