Product Information
Black Limestone Wall Coping – 2 Side Bullnosed Edges
Black coping stones make a perfect design statement while protecting your wall.
Top off your wall with these beautiful, yet functional, stones.
They will add an element of sophistication and style to your home while providing the protection you need.
If you’re looking for a classic and elegant way to finish off your pool, patio or garden, black coping stones are the perfect choice. Made from durable and natural limestone, our black coping stones are designed to last. With a variety of styles and sizes to choose from, we have the perfect black coping stone to suit your needs.
Limestone improves it’s aesthetics over time. The longer it’s exposed to sunlight and weather, the more black coping stones will develop a beautiful natural colour tone. Black coping stones are easy to clean and maintain, making them a popular choice for those who want a classic look with minimum effort.
* As with all natural materials, our Paving supply may be subject to minor chipping, this is not to be considered a fault or defect.
Images displayed are for representative purpose only and in some cases might be subject to slight colour / texture or size differential (although in most cases this won’t be the case). Subsequently, any related refund requests will be subject to our normal paving returns policy.

- Returns will only be accepted in full, partial orders will be declined.
Understanding Damages in Transit: Key Points
While we prioritise delivering your order in excellent condition, when shipping fragile materials like slabs, occasional breakages can occur. Ordering extra material can help cover rare transit damage or installation mishaps, and ensure your project stays on track.
What You Should Know:
- Reporting Damage: Notify us of any damages within 48 hours and include photos so we can assist you efficiently.
How We Handle Claims - Damages Over £100 exc. vat: Well file a claim and arrange replacements.
- Minor Damages (<£100 exc. vat): These fall below the claim threshold, so replacements arent available. The construction industry expects a 510% breakage rate for fragile materials.
If significant damages occur, well resolve them promptly with replacements (not refunds).
Wall Coping Specifications
Edges: Two of these edges, the outer visible edges if used as a coping, are rounded or “bullnosed”. The edges create a smooth, contemporary finish.
Thickness: These slabs are all calibrated to 30mm thick. This means they are much easier to lay whilst keeping level.
Surface Finish: The surface is a naturally smooth surface, but with a light pitting.
Colour Palette: One consistent shade of deep black. This colour will fade to a dark grey without proper maintenance.
Bullnosed or Hand Dressed
When it comes to black coping stones, you have two main choices – bullnosed or hand-dressed edges.
- Bullnosed edges are smooth, rounded edges that are perfect for contemporary spaces. Black limestone with a bullnose edge is a popular choice for modern pool surrounds or wall toppings in a monochrome space.
- Hand-dressed edges are natural edges which are perfect for rustic or traditional spaces. Black limestone with a hand-dressed edge is often used in country gardens or as part of a more traditional pool surround.
