The Mick George Group provided a bespoke onsite soil stabilisation programme for effective increase of CBR value.

Groundworks contractor A.D. Bly Construction called in the services of our ground improvement specialists to the site of a new Sainsbury’s store on the Melton Road in Leicester to design and implement an effective Soil Stabilisation solution. The new 80,000 sq ft store was to be built on land previously occupied by GE Lighting and the site had large areas of light, dry and structurally weak soil, geo-technically unsuitable for construction.

– Tested and designed soil stabilisation solution to convert geotechnical inferior materials on site
– Compacted the site using RDC techniques
– Supply of daily survey data
– Enhanced CBR value and formation levels across the site
