Mick George Environmental are specialists in asbestos removal, abatement, clean-up and encapsulation.
As advised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE); only approved specialists should conduct repair or removal of Asbestos Contaminated Materials (ACM’s). Due to its causal relationship with critical illness, it is strongly encouraged that those without the appropriate training for non-licensed asbestos, should avoid coming in to contact.
Our accredited and professional approach to asbestos removal mitigates any health and safety concerns, ensuring full compliance with current regulations and legislation to avoid potentially damaging litigation for our clients and, or any disruption to their normal working routines.
Ahead of any asbestos removal works commencing, our experienced team will complete a full risk assessment and method statement, with all work documented in accordance with strict directives and protocols of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Having identified asbestos within your premises, our qualified assessors will instruct whether complete asbestos removal is required, or whether alternative treatments are feasible – this could include encapsulation; the process of covering asbestos with a special coating that protects and repairs any damaged materials, sealing any exposure of dangerous fibres
Asbestos Removal Services
We have extensive asbestos removal experience in a range of sectors; including demolition, government agencies, health authorities, industrial, commercial and residential properties, manufacturing, retail and education, as well as contaminated land remediation.
Asbestos Removal Process
Any area where Asbestos is present will be sealed off using polythene and timber to create an airtight enclosure, which will contain asbestos airborne fibres. In addition, controlled wetting techniques such as spraying and injection, and, or air monitoring practices may be employed to ensure control levels are never exceeded and that the area concerned is safe for reoccupation.
Any contaminated waste is securely double bagged and sealed in asbestos waste sacks, appropriately labelled and safely deposited at our own licensed waste disposal site.
To complete the process, thorough decontamination procedures will remove all remaining debris, residues and traces of the asbestos removal works from surfaces and the surrounding locality.
