While the UK remains a World-leader in the regeneration of industrial land courtesy of its expansive remediation capabilities and technologies, there are still many undesirable challenges associated with converting Brownfield locations.
One of which is the attributed cost and difficulty of managing the almost inevitable presence of Contaminated and Hazardous Waste materials such as Asbestos that arise from construction projects in such settings.
Historically, the majority, if not all waste ascending from construction developments ends up in landfill incurring significant costs for the contractor or developer, consequently resulting in them seeking alternative methods or worse still, unregulated disposal techniques.
Which is why the Mick George Group focus attentions on treatment and landfill diversion; subsequently investing in state-of-the-art Hazardous Segregation Stations and Soil Washing equipment which permit the ability to convert Contaminated materials in to reusable commodities that can be redistributed to market, saving our clients money while improving their environmental contribution.
Hazardous Treatment Facilities
Situated in Mepal, Cambridgeshire, our new Hazardous Segregation facility is capable of processing up to 400,000t of Contaminated Waste materials per annum. Its segregating proficiencies will mean that clients will make significant financial savings.
We can treat a variety of contaminants including soils, oily sludges, pile arisings, railway ballast, treatment plant residue, river and lagoon dredgings, tunnel shaft arisings and de-littered gully and sweeping waste. We can also dispose of SCA (soils containing asbestos) and ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials)
We have a range of treatment solutions for both on-site and off-site including Bioremediation, Soil Washing, Incineration, Traditional Dig and Dump.
