Brand New Play Equipment for Nene Valley Community Centre
The Mick George Community Fund has funded a project to provide new play equipment available at the Nene Valley Community Centre as part of the Peterborough Football and Sports Development Foundation.
The previous equipment had become rotten and needed replacing, for which the new Forest Stacks, Swinging Logs, Tram and Revolving Logs have been added to enhance the Centre.
It is anticipated that the upgrades will see the venue becoming an environment that people of all ages and abilities feel safe and secure, allowing everyone in the local community to exercise and play, while simultaneously improving health and wellbeing.
The wooden trim trail provides the opportunity for people to be outside amongst nature, surrounded by beautiful, grassed, open areas with trees, wildflowers and seating areas for increased social activity.
The Peterborough Football and Sports Development Foundation are a charity based at Nene Valley Community Centre who aim to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities to deliver these aims.
