Corrugated Asbestos Roofing

Before the 1980’s when Asbestos was permitted within construction materials, Asbestos corrugated roofing was extremely common in historical village houses and even in some cases, used for the purpose of barricading soil.

Is corrugated Asbestos roofing dangerous?

Within corrugated Asbestos roofing, the Asbestos cement sheets are bound tightly with the base material of the cement, meaning under normal circumstances the corrugated Asbestos will not release any Asbestos fibres. However, improper handling or removal of corrugated Asbestos may present Asbestos fibres being released into the air which can be very dangerous.

Discovering that there may be corrugated Asbestos in your property can be a worry, but fear not, as the Mick George Group are fully accredited to safely assess, handle and remove all forms of Asbestos.
