The Mick George Community Fund has provided financial support to the value of £22,760 to Stanwick Lakes for the installation of accessible play area equipment.
Rockingham Forest Trust applied through the Mick George Community Fund, having identified the need for improvements to be made.
Community Benefit
This project will fund accessible play equipment, enabling all children, whatever their disability, to play together on wooden play towers and wheelchair accessible sand play tables. The equipment would fit amongst existing facilities, offering integrated play.
This donation from the Mick George Community Fund will provide a range of sensory and imaginative play opportunities for children of all ages and abilities, particularly aged 5-11, enabling them to play together, enhancing development and wellbeing and bringing huge benefits to the community.
