As the construction industry continues to grow, a recent report has highlighted the top 100 construction companies based on their turnover.
Collectively, these 100 top performing companies turned over a combined total of £74.5bn according to their latest accounts which is an increase of 12.6% compared with last years data.
Construction Sector Performance
As highlighted, turnover and pre tax profits substantially increased, but so has the number of construction professionals appearing within the Sunday Times annual Rich List, further suggesting that the sector is experiencing a period of growth, despite concerns in recent months that construction output may have been slowing.
While 84 companies in the Top 100 increased turnover and 87 of them made a pre-tax profit in their latest trading year (up from 83 in the previous period) the size of that bottom-line profit figure reduced at 54 of those companies.
