Sapley Playing Fields – Football Goal Upgrades
The Mick George Community Fund has provided financial support to the value of £11,429 to Sapley playing fields for the installation of new football goals.
Huntingdonshire District Council applied through the Mick George Community Fund, having identified the need for improvements to be made.
The existing football goals have been in use for over 30 years and now come to the end of their lifespan, so an upgrade was necessary to improve the playing experience for members of the community.
Community Benefit
Recent years have seen a rapid increase in grassroots football teams of all ages within the local area, with demand for varying pitch and goal sizes on the rise, the Huntingdonshire Council highlighted the need for community benefitting upgrades to be implemented.
