Vegetation Clearance & Tree Felling

When a new site is obtained for development there can often be a variety of vegetation, shrubland and other obstacles to be cleared before later stages of construction can commence, for which the Mick George Group provide comprehensive removal services on time and on budget.

Or perhaps, the vegetation or tree felling process is being completed for valuable timber resources which are needed to make a wide range of daily products and or, biomass for fuel and energy production. Whichever it is, the Mick George Group can assist.

Why is vegetation clearance needed?

Once almost entirely covered by woodland vegetation, the UK now only has 3.23 million hectares, which represents approximately 13% of the total land area in the UK.

Although substantially lower than previously, this vegetation and shrubland can still cause numerous problems to any proposed building developments.

It is always recommended that construction takes place as far away from trees and established vegetation as possible, because the distance at which tree roots can detrimentally affect a building is quite significant. Damage directly caused by proximate tree roots, such as roots exerting pressure on underground services and cracking drains, is quite a frequent occurrence, as is the varying degree of moisture removal from the locality.

Appropriate vegetation and shrubland Clearance will provide a development with suitable foundations to deliver as intended, often determining its success or failure at latter stages.

Our extensive Bulk Earthworks, Muck Away and waste disposal expertise means we can can provide solutions for any complex, large or challenging terrains that need clearing.

What is Tree Felling?

The felling of trees is a normal and important part of good woodland management, allowing additional light for natural regeneration to take place and for wildlife to thrive.

Felling is the process of cutting down trees either manually or mechanically. The Mick George group have the capability to fell trees singularly or simultaneously, dependent on the volume and size in question.
