Paint Disposal
If COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) like paints aren’t given the attention they require, it could have significant consequences.
Paint Disposal
The aftermath of any DIY project often leads to an accumulation of leftover materials which require storing or disposing of, especially in the case of excess Paint.
However, given that Paint typically has a shelf-life no longer than 2-years, it’s probably advisable to dispose of at the earliest convenience.
Paint is predominantly packaged within steel cans for purpose of strength and corrosion resistance, and although steel tins are commonly recycled, this is not advised for Paint cans.
Paint should never be tipped down toilets, sinks or drains, as it can potentially cause blockages, damage or even harm to others, which means that there will often be leftover residue within the container. Such liquids can cause risk to human health if not disposed of appropriately.
