01.06.2016 - U's launch new 2016 / 2017 Kit
The ‘Amber Army’ got their first glimpse of the new Cambridge United FC home shirt today.
In keeping with the tradition of the club, the new home jersey will once again take on the Amber and Black colours synonymous with the U's, but also includes a modern twist in style with the addition of pin stripes. The retro black collar also refers back to a number of the U’s kits of yesteryear including the iconic jersey from the 1992-93 season.
Liz Slack, Business Development Operations Manager at CUFC said: ‘'We are extremely excited about the launch of our brand new replica home kit for the forthcoming season. We feel the jersey is another exciting, eye-catching, but different design that will appeal to our supporters’’.
Once more, the logo of main sponsor Mick George Ltd will also be prominent on the front of the shirt.
Slack added: ‘’We are delighted Mick George Ltd has continued its sponsorship and support of the club. The business is a great ambassador for the fantastic business community which the city represents.’’
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’As the season finished on such a high with the club unfortunate to miss out on a play off position, the supporters would have been eagerly awaiting the shirt launch. That, alongside the recent signing and announcement of a high profile friendly fixture certainly signals the intent for the forthcoming season. Mick George Ltd are proud to be sponsoring again, and will continue to do all it can to help the club achieve its promotion ambitions.’’
