Travelex Maintenance Contract

Two of the largest commercial brands operating in the Peterborough region have combined. Leading Construction supplier, Mick George Ltd, has announced that it will be providing Maintenance and Engineering support for the iconic premises occupied by market leading independent foreign exchange business, Travelex.

Although functioning in 30 different countries, Travelex has only 6 office locations in all four-corners of the globe. One of which is the Peterborough based ‘Operations and Customer Service Centre’ which has, and continues to be critical in the Companies quest to establish a retail network of specialist foreign exchange stores.

During the past 40-years, the business has added more than 1,100 live ATM’s worldwide, and a growing digital platform that has contributed towards the 1.4 million mobile and online transactions that emerged in 2016. As such, the necessity for the Peterborough located headquarters to have appropriate ‘business continuity’ plans in place, is essential.

It was only a relatively short time ago, Mick George Ltd introduced its Facilities Management service, combining a multitude of provisions across an array of trade disciplines, commonly associated with commercial premises.

In a corporate market that is particularly buoyant, it’s no surprise that the service has quickly established itself, and is being delivered to many high-profile brands including Subway, Anglian Water, Peterborough United FC and Huntingdon Racecourse.

The three-year contract, valued at approximately £340,000 will provide Travelex with comprehensive maintenance cover, full project management, 24-hr emergency call out and full testing of all heating, plumbing, electrical and safety applications, as well as building and remedial works, and compliance checks.

In reality, Mick George’s business response service, will imminently take care of all faults, damage and general ‘wear and tear’, providing complete peace of mind for Travelex, while preventing any potential disruption to the businesses daily operations.
