14.03.2016 - Transport Commissioner approves increased fleet at Mick George Ltd

Business at Mick George Ltd is thriving, and the company continues to increase at a rate of knots across all areas. Having reported fantastic financial results within the last year, the business is going from strength to strength now recruiting in excess of 550 employees.

Widely recognised within the Construction Industry as the main provider within Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and areas of Bedfordshire, the business has recently added new sites in Boston, Lincolnshire, Ellistown, Leicestershire and Bishops Bowl, Warwickshire, geographically expanding its service provisions.

In accordance with the extension, Mick George Ltd has now been granted an increase of authorised vehicles and trailers, expanding its fleet of HGV’s to 300 vehicles and 50 trailers, an increase of 35 vehicles and 15 trailers.

To grow the fleet year on year, the company is required to regularly undertake systems and procedure compliance audits. The latest which was completed by the Road Haulage Association clearly showed that the business excels in its undertakings to continuously and effectively manage its transport operations.

Our Driving Academy and it’s four instructors play a key part in ensuring we continue to fulfil all our legal requirements and produce a high level of road safety. Gossage continued ‘’The company continues to invest heavily in its transport operation. There are 40 new vehicles currently in build, which are due to be delivered by June, each of these will be fitted with the latest vehicle tracking technology and vulnerable road user safety equipment. All of this, alongside our well publicised ‘commitment to safer roads’ and recent positive engagement with local communities in which we operate paves the way for a brighter, sustainable future.’’
