Sunday Times, Grant Thornton Top Track 250
The 15th Annual ‘Sunday Times, Grant Thornton Top Track 250’ has been revealed and for the second consecutive year, local construction services supplier Mick George Group is included, having climbed more than 60 spaces in the rankings.
Compiled by Fast Track, a leading research and events company, the table ranks Britain’s privately-owned mid-market growth companies by performance.
To achieve a listing within the league table, a number of demanding criteria have to be fulfilled, not least; total sales between £110 - £700m, profits up to £100m, sales / profit growth minimum of 5% annually and employed staff between 50 – 5,000.
Mick George Group are one of just 11 companies from its core operating regions (Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire) in the East to have made it on to the prestigious list, an impressive feat when you look at the stature of the many national brands named alongside the construction brand; Holland & Barrett, Travelodge, and Virgin Active to name just a few.
Jon Stump, Joint CEO at the Mick George Group: ‘’This is great recognition for the Group to be included within the Sunday Times Top Track 250 league table for the second year running. It reflects the continued efforts that everybody within our business is making for sustainable long-term success and is testament to their hard work and diligence.’’
Stump continued: ‘’Although our overarching strategy and objectives are clear, we believe that our ability to embrace change and adapt to market forces has been fundamental in the growth that the business has achieved. It is an exciting time for the Company.’’
