Tip-Ex 17 Award Shortlist
One year on since claiming their first ‘Tipper Haulier of the Year’ accolade, it’s clear to see that Mick George Ltd haven’t let standards slip. The business has been shortlisted once more for the 2017 award, in its quest to join some illustrious company who have managed to win multiple honors.
The ceremony where the winners will be revealed, is to be hosted at a gala dinner, from the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate on Friday 2 June, where the biggest players in the UK Haulier industry will congregate in a bid to be rewarded for their efforts.
If Mick George Ltd are to be triumphant for a second consecutive year, they will have to overcome some stiff competition from ‘Mcghee Group’ and ‘O’ Donovan Waste Disposal’ respectively, who complete the shortlist for the award in question.
Now in its 5th year, the ‘Tipper Haulier of the Year’ honor is awarded to an independent haulier that clearly demonstrates sound financial management and an all-round commitment to best practice and improving service levels for their customers.
Mick George started his business with just one tipper truck back in 1978 with the ambition to build a large fleet of vehicles to operate and serve the construction industry. The business has grown to become one of the leading suppliers to the construction industry in East Anglia and the East Midlands and today employs over 1000 staff across 24 sites, with a fleet in excess of 400 vehicles.
In addition, a host of other prizes will be presented at the occassion. These include; Show Innovation Award, Tipper Safety Award, and Personality of the Year.
