Social Mobility Pledge
As one of the largest employers within the Cambridgeshire region, Mick George Ltd has become the latest organisation to commit to the ‘Social Mobility Pledge’ movement, joining more than 250 illustrious brands, including; ITV, Sainsburys, B.T, and many more.
Recruiting more than 1,200 local people from within its operating regions, Mick George Ltd has further demonstrated its dedication to accessing and progressing talent from all backgrounds; providing opportunities through work experience, apprenticeships, internships; and fair recruitment.
Mick George Ltd are well versed in partnering with schools, colleges charities and agencies, providing coaching, mentoring and practical experience to personnel from disadvantaged backgrounds or circumstances.
Justine Greening MP, of the Social Mobility Pledge said: ‘’Britain should be a country where you can get on in life, regardless of your background. Improving social mobility is a defining challenge for us as a nation. We have talent spread evenly across this great country, but opportunity isn’t. Businesses, with the prosperity and careers they create for people, are key to improving social mobility.’’
