08.06.2016 - Skip of Gold Winners Announced
For the past 3 months, Mick George Ltd has been running its ‘Skip of Gold’ competition in partnership with the Hunt Post, providing local sports clubs and community groups the chance to win £1,000.
Over 100 applications were proposed before a shortlist of the 20 most deserving cases were put forward to the voting stage. In excess of 1,000 votes were submitted ahead of the eventual winners from each category being selected based on the most votes received.
While the ‘community’ category was a close battle that was edged by Huntingdon Methodist Church, the ‘sports’ category was far more clear cut as Huntingdon Rugby Club triumphed.
