Gauze Mat Collection Scheme

The Department for Education (DfE) recently advised all schools to remove Bunsen burner gauze mats after highlighting that the equipment may contain dangerous asbestos that could cause harm to staff and pupils. To aid this, Mick George Environmental (as part of their commitment to relieve any threat from asbestos materials) will be conducting a dedicated collection scheme for said apparatus.

Mick George Environmental plans to suitably collect, handle and dispose of all gauze mats from education providers in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire with all proceeds being donated to Mesothelioma UK Charity.

To register or for more information, see below:

Gauze Mats Collection

Collection Details:

Gauze mat collections will be completed on the following dates:

* Cambridgeshire & Peterborough: Monday 29th October

* Northamptonshire: Tuesday 30th October

We would ask that all gauze mats are boxed and ready for collection at the main reception.

As we are expecting to be completing a large volume of collections, we are unable to confirm an exact collection time but can confirm that it will occur between 8am - 4pm.

Mick George Environmental are offering the collection service in return for a donation of £1 per gauze mat that will be donated to Mesothelioma UK Charity.
