Market Quarter Development
Project Overview
Service: Earthworks & Soil Stabilisation
Project: Market Quarter Development
Location: Rugby
Client: Metnor Construction
Value: £796,309
The Mick George Group was associated with the Earthworks & Soil Stabilisation on behalf of Metnor Construction for the Market Quarter development.
Located at Railway Terrace, the Market Quarter scheme will provide 360 one and two-bed apartments for rent.
The Mick George Group disposed of 13,500m3 of material off-site, a mixture of inert, non hazardous and hazardous material. In addition, Soil Stabilisation of 17,000m2 was completed to achieve 15% CBR as a capping replacement, as well as 9,000 tons of Aggregates imported.

Market Quarter Development
A £43m forward funding deal has been agreed, paving the way for a build-to rent development in Rugby due for completion in April 2023.
The development will provide 360 managed apartments as a mix of 175 one-bed and 185-two bed apartments, across four blocks, which benefit from their close proximity to the local train station and local town centre. The proposal completes the regeneration of the former Cattle Market site which has stood derelict since its closure in 2008.
The Market Quarter development will demonstrate a market appetite to deliver residential accommodation and new public open space within it’s town centre, on a key site within a emerging plan.
The Edmond de Rothschild Residential Investment Fund UK was launched in August 2018 and to date has raised equity commitments of around £260m.
