Raj Green sandstone paving is a subtle light green with a mixture of grey, and brown paving stone, similar to traditional York stone. Suited to traditional landscape designs, Raj Green is a hard-wearing natural stone which requires little maintenance to retain its original colour. Raj Green sandstone is one of our most popular ranges and it is easy to see why. It was originally brought over to replicate York Stone whilst keeping the costs much lower.
This naturally occurring sandstone blends together mostly browns & greys with subtle hints of plums and greens to create a wonderful traditional feel without the sky-rocketing costs of York Stone. Raj Green is the safest bet when purchasing paving, its charm is timeless and the colour variations within the stone provide a traditional style that is tough to beat.
Hand Dressed Edges – The edges are all hand-dressed. This makes for edges that have a classic feel, but still sit nicely side-by-side.
Sawn Edges – This paving has gone through an extra process whereby the edges of the stone have been clean-cut sawn to provide a perfectly smooth edge. The benefit here is two-fold – any visible edges create a very contemporary look with the smooth edges and also, the perfectly straight edges mean the slabs sit alongside each other like a jigsaw.
This is one of the most hard-wearing sandstones, even those who have very little time to maintain the look of their garden through the year don’t need to worry as Raj Green ages remarkably well and will always pull off a beautiful traditional look. The surface of these slabs have a riven effect. The slabs have a completely natural surface.

What is a Single Size Pack?
Single Size packs are exactly what they say on the tin. They are packs of slabs which contain only 1 size of slab.
What area does a Single Size Pack cover?
Single size packs are bought as multiples of individual slabs. Each slab covers a specific area, so depending on the pack size you know the area you can cover:
- 90cm x 60cm = 0.54m2
- 90cm x 60cm = 0.36m2
- 90cm x 60cm = 0.27m2
