Product Information

Product Information

Kandla Grey is a very consistent coloured sandstone compared to some of the other ranges. Sandstone is known for its variation in colours, so Kandla Grey offers something a little different in this department. The varying shades of grey help to create a traditional look, whilst keeping the area much more uniform than what might normally be expected of ordinary sandstone. For this reason, Kandla Grey remains a very popular choice.

This is one of the most hard-wearing sandstones, even those who have very little time to maintain the look of their garden through the year don’t need to worry as Kandla Grey ages remarkably well and will always pull off a beautiful traditional look. Sandstone is an excellent all-round choice. The stone is a sedimentary stone, which consists of small grains which are held together by a silicon ‘natural cement’. It’s this ‘cement’ that gives the sandstone is wide ranging variations in colour and texture.

Silicon is a very tough substance, which is why sandstone is so hard wearing and worthy of the investment. This paving has been split by hand which is a perfect medium between a rustic and contemporary look.

Hand Dressed Edges – Once the stone has been excavated, each slab has been expertly split by hand to give a classic look. The edges are rough, but still fall in straight lines so remain easy to lay.

Sawn Edges – This paving has gone through an extra process whereby the edges of the stone have been clean-cut sawn to provide a perfectly smooth edge. The benefit here is two-fold – any visible edges create a very contemporary look with the smooth edges and also, the perfectly straight edges mean the slabs sit alongside each other like a jigsaw.

The surface of these slabs have a riven effect. The slabs have a completely natural surface.

Paving coverage area:

1 60 x 90cm slab = 0.54m2

1 60 x 60cm slab = 0.36m2

1 60 x 45cm slab = 0.27m2

1 60 x 30cm slab = 0.18m2

As with all natural materials, our Paving supply may be subject to minor chipping, this is not to considered to be a fault or defect.

Failed Deliveries

In the unlikely event that we’re unable to complete the scheduled delivery due to access restrictions or a non-secure delivery location (front garden / driveway), you may have the option for redelivery subject to customer approval and additional delivery charges. If the delivery can’t be rescheduled, then no refund is available.

To avoid any delivery issues to a secure location at the front of the property, we strongly advise someone being present to receive the delivery, otherwise additional charges may apply, as explained above.

Deliveries will only be made to the address selected for shipping at the point of order, and cannot be changed on receipt of the delivery, otherwise additional charges may apply.

For any orders that are returned (unless deemed faulty), the customer is liable for the return shipping fees equivalent to that incurred in the original order, plus a 15% charge of the initial order value, for restocking.

Returns will only be accepted in full, partial orders will be declined.

As a natural product, there is a 10% breakage tolerance on all orders before being eligible for return.
