Fossil Mint sandstone is a classic stone that has been popular for many years and it’s easy to see why. The stone is set on a predominantly buff background with swirls of reds and pinks appearing occasionally to add warmth to a traditional feeling stone. On top of this, Fossil Mint gets its name from the occasional fern print fossil that appears on the surface – all of our stone is natural and has been in the ground for millions of years, but no stone makes you realise this like Fossil Mint.
If you want to add warmth and character, there is no better stone that Fossil Mint. Sandstone is an excellent all-round choice. The stone is a sedimentary stone, which consists of small grains which are held together by a silicon ‘natural cement’. It’s this ‘cement’ that gives the sandstone is wide ranging variations in colour and texture. Silicon is a very tough substance, which is why sandstone is so hard wearing and worthy of the investment.
This paving has been split by hand which is a perfect medium between a rustic and contemporary look. Once the stone has been excavated, each slab has been expertly split by hand to give a classic look. The edges are rough, but still fall in straight lines so remain easy to lay. The surface of these slabs have a riven effect. The slabs have a completely natural surface.
Paving coverage area:
1 60 x 90cm slab = 0.54m2
1 60 x 60cm slab = 0.36m2
1 60 x 45cm slab = 0.27m2
1 60 x 30cm slab = 0.18m2
As with all natural materials, our Paving supply may be subject to minor chipping, this is not to considered to be a fault or defect.
There is a single delivery charge per pallet regardless of how full the boxes are, so the most economical way to purchase your slabs is to buy full boxes. However, we’re always happy to split them down to precise amounts.
Each purchase quantity equates to 1 slab. The number of slabs that we can pack into one pallet, varies depending on the dimensions of the slab:
90cm x 60cm – 30 Slabs
60cm x 60cm – 40 Slabs
60cm x 45cm – 65 Slabs
60cm x 30cm – 90 Slabs
Delivery will occur within 14 working days of order.*

In the unlikely event that we’re unable to complete the scheduled delivery due to access restrictions or a non-secure delivery location (front garden / driveway), you may have the option for redelivery subject to customer approval and additional delivery charges. If the delivery can’t be rescheduled, then no refund is available.
To avoid any delivery issues to a secure location at the front of the property, we strongly advise someone being present to receive the delivery, otherwise additional charges may apply, as explained above.
Deliveries will only be made to the address selected for shipping at the point of order, and cannot be changed on receipt of the delivery, otherwise additional charges may apply.
For any orders that are returned (unless deemed faulty), the customer is liable for the return shipping fees equivalent to that incurred in the original order, plus a 15% charge of the initial order value, for restocking.
Returns will only be accepted in full, partial orders will be declined.
As a natural product, there is a 10% breakage tolerance on all orders before being eligible for return.

- Surface Finish: The surface has a riven effect for a more traditional look.
- Thickness: Easy-lay 22mm calibrated slabs, these are much easier to lay whilst keeping level.
- Colour Palette: A buff background swirled with an occasional red/pink colour. Also enhanced with fossil prints on the surface.
What area do Single Size Slabs cover?
Single size slabs are bought as multiples of individual slabs. Each slab covers a specific area, so depending on the amount of slabs, you know the size you know the area you can cover:
- 90cm x 60cm = 0.54m2
- 60cm x 60cm = 0.36m2
- 60cm x 45cm = 0.27m2
