Normality returns, and so does the annual Mick George Charity Match at Cambridge United’s Abbey Stadium.

The event was certainly a notable absence from the Amber Army’s calendar last year, have gained huge popularity since its inauguration 5-years back.

The years event will take place on Friday 8th October, 7pm kick off, in its normal guise, whereby supporters will be given the opportunity to play alongside U’s legends, presented with a minimum of 60 minutes action, while also gaining access to the changing rooms, tunnel, and dugout area before testing their football credentials on the hallowed turf.

While this years list of featured ex-pro’s and managers are unconfirmed at this stage, it’s sure to be a quality line-up if previous years is anything to go by, having welcomed the likes of Trevor Benjamin, Max Rushden, Luke Chadwick, Dave Kitson, Andy Sinton, John Taylor, Danny Potter, Ian Miller, Micah Hyde and Jack Collison, to the event.

Sure to be a memorable occasion, players will be permitted five complimentary tickets for friends and family, all of whom can enjoy the complimentary refreshments in the Dion Dublin suite after the game, while the presentation and charity donation takes place.

Each player will also receive a replica Cambridge United shirt with their name printed on the back.

This once in a lifetime opportunity comes at just only £99 per person, with all proceeds going to the Cambridge Community Trust Charity.

Due to popular demand, we recommend you secure your place early to avoid disappointment.
