Our loose loads of Type 1 MOT Granite is a well graded material. It is 63mm Down to dust, however the majority of the material are 40mm down.

The MOT Type 1 Granite is usually used for making roads, to be laid and compacted under tarmac, and is approved by the department of transport (MOT) for laying under major motorways. This material is non-frost susceptible and is not quarried by The Mick George Group.

Loose Aggregates are perfect for Extensions, Conservatories, Paving & Driveway, Gardening, Shed Bases, Walling, Trenchfill, Sandpits and other similar projects.

Loose loads of Type 1 MOT are available between 8 – 20 tonnes.

Loose Aggregate delivery will be completed within 1-7 working days (estimate only) – we cannot guarantee any specific delivery times and would advise to expect between 7am and 8pm. We will do what we can to deliver at the earliest convenience.

We’re unable to drive over raised kerbs; man-hole covers or grass, and aggregates must be placed on private property. If we’re unable to carry out the delivery as intended due to site restrictions, wasted journey charges may apply.

• If your order is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date, then a £15 (Inc VAT) cancellation fee will apply.
• Waiting time charges of £65+vat per hour will apply 15 minutes after our arrival time on site.
• We have the right to charge for any wasted journeys.
• If there are any site delivery/access restrictions, please discuss this with our Customer Service department ahead of delivery / or note within the checkout process.
• Any complaints or concerns following a delivery /collection must be raised within 48 hours with our customer service department, so a full investigation can be completed.

What is MOT Type 1?

Type 1 MOT is an aggregate that can be made up of many different materials including limestone, crushed concrete and granite. There are many different types of Type 1 MOT, mostly differentiated by size and material.

Both primary and recycled material can be used to produce a Type 1 sub-base.

MOT Type 1 Benefits

Approved by the Ministry of Transport, Type 1 MOT Granite provides a an approved stable and durable sub-base for high traffic road surfaces and path construction.

This crushed granite sub-base is specifically formulated to deliver a flat and compact surface with excellent load-bearing capacity. Varying particle sizes ensure they interlock to distribute weight evenly and prevent settlement.

Where is MOT Type 1 Used?

Use MOT Type 1 granite as a finished surface below a top coat of concrete, asphalt, block paving or shingle for your patio, garden path or driveway.

Commercial and civil engineering applications include roads, motorways, car parks and building bases.

Cheap MOT Type 1 Prices
