Asbestos Residential Surveys
An estimated 14 million homes in the UK were built when asbestos was most commonly being used as a building material. If the home you live in or are looking to purchase was built before the Year 2000, there is an 80% chance it contains Asbestos. Most forms of asbestos and asbestos contaminated materials won’t pose any health threat if undisturbed, and remediation work or removal isn’t usually necessary.
All our surveys are completed by a P402 qualified surveyor and they will locate any asbestos contaminated materials present in the property which could be disturbed or damaged during normal occupancy. During the survey samples are taken which are tested in UKAS approved laboratories. You will receive our report within 72 hours of sampling with recommended actions noted only where required and in order of priority.
Asbestos Pre-Purchase Surveys
If you are in the process of buying a new home built before the year 2000, our Asbestos Pre-Purchase Survey provide peace of mind that the property is safe and ensure that any risks from asbestos are identified and managed properly. Asbestos reports are also increasingly required to satisfy the terms of lenders for new and re-mortgages. If you are looking to sell your property, an Asbestos Pre-Purchase Survey can help prevent delays and provide confidence to potential buyers.

Our Residential Asbestos Surveys are for homeowners occupying properties built pre-2000.
