Phil Hayden, spokesperson at Peterborough Rugby Club said: ‘’After a turbulent start to the season, the team has progressively grown stronger thanks to additional training sessions and support from local businesses such as Mick George Ltd, for which we are particularly grateful. The boys have gained confidence and are now on an eight match unbeaten run which has culminated in the county championship triumph.’’

Mick George Ltd has provided sponsorship to the club which has helped fund new training clothing due to get its first outing at the forthcoming tour that the boys will be on at Holt North, Norfolk, an activity centre aimed at team bonding.

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’As main sponsors to both Peterborough United and Cambridge United football club, we recognise the importance of the clubs bringing through emerging talent from the surrounding areas in order to improve. This is no different in Rugby, and it’s a huge positive to see the two regions represented at this level.’’

Stump continued: ‘’It is difficult for sports teams at grass roots to finance various elements that are almost a necessity for them to function to the highest standard, Mick George Ltd are always keen to support wherever feasible.’’
