Now that is teamwork
The Northamptonshire area is fortunate to be blessed with some quality, high profile Construction based companies on its doorstep, none more so than, Mick George Ltd, Travis Perkins, and Benchmarx respectively.
But it’s not just industry tradesmen that are benefiting from their presence. The three organisations have pulled together to provide assistance for the Study Centre refit at Northampton Town Football Club.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Cobblers Study Centre at Sixfields Stadium is to undergo a major makeover next week, thanks to a fantastic community partnership between the aforementioned.
The refit will include brand new facilities in the two fully equipped classrooms, as well as a complete kitchen refurbishment.
Kelvin Thomas, Chairman at Northampton Town FC stated: ‘’The Education Centre is one of the crown jewels in our extensive community outreach. The staff do a fantastic job and have helped to educate thousands of local youngsters over the last ten years but we want to help them do even more and we will be able to do that thanks to Mick George Ltd, Travis Perkins and Benchmarx ".
"This is a superb example of a truly integrated activation with local businesses to use their expertise and generosity to help the local community,” said Caroline Lucy, Commercial & Marketing Manager.
The Study Centre, which is being rebranded as the Northampton Town Education Centre, Sixfields campus, ahead of the opening of a St Crispins campus, is a fully working, integrated education resource. It will offer local students and pupils the chance to learn at Sixfields, as part of an exciting and dynamic partnership between Northamptonshire County Council and Northampton Town Football Club.
The Centre works in close partnership with local schools and education providers to raise educational standards across Northamptonshire through outreach and alternative provision programmes.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’Our partnership with Northampton Town FC may only be 6 months old, but we’ve managed to build some fantastic relationships with the club’s supporters, this time around it’s nice to work alongside some other commercial partners for the greater-good of the younger community.’’
