09.08.2016 - New Family Enclosure Unveiled at Northampton Town FC

This weekend saw the return of the football Season to Sixfields Stadium, but it wasn’t just a change in league status that fans received. Spectators also got their first glimpse of the brand new Mick George Family Enclosure.

Not only does the newly constructed stand offer fantastic viewpoints, but its modern, yet child friendly design elements make it an encouraging environment for youngsters to get behind the Cobblers. The impressive large scale feature wall takes centre stage; with the illustration of both ‘Mick the Skip’ and ‘Clarence the Dragon’ mascots playing football certainly catching the eye.

However, it’s not just for visual impact; the wall also acts as an interactive zone whereby those using the stand get the opportunity to leave their mark. Fans at the opening game have already started signing and dating the wall to create an impressive area that will live long in to the history of the club.

Mick George Ltd, has formed a partnership with the club that extends beyond the sponsorship of the Family Enclosure. The local construction business, who currently supply residential and trade customers in the Northamptonshire region, will also take care of all Waste Management requirements for each of the clubs premises.

Mick George Ltd will also have presence at all home fixtures throughout the season, providing half-time entertainment with the 'Skip Challenge', ‘Mick the Skip’ mascot and occasional appearances from the Mick George Cheerleaders.

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’The opening fixture always provides a buoyant atmosphere, and after achieving promotion last year it certainly lived up to expectation on Saturday.’’

Stump Continued: ‘’It was a good time to unveil the new Mick George Family Enclosure and it certainly looked like the children enjoyed themselves, with face painting and other activities going on. We’re really pleased to be partnering the club and hope we can contribute to improving on last year’s success.’’
