New DAF Tippers
Two new additions have recently joined the Mick George Ltd fleet by way of DAF semi-bulk bodied Tipper lorries, bringing the number of HGVs in the fleet to over 400.
Standing tall in the August sunshine, the DAF FAD CF 450 with Wilcox semi-bulk tipper bodies have been invested in to provide Mick George Ltd with the option to haul higher volumes of aggregates and waste, with lower density. Liveried in the traditional Mick George Ltd branding, the vehicles will shortly be sent out to site for work on bespoke projects which require light-weight waste removal.
Operating in East Anglia and the East Midlands, local Construction Company Mick George Ltd are licensed hauliers of all waste types, as well as bulk aggregates for projects of all sizes. Operating a fleet of over 400, the new vehicles will enable the firm to tender for larger contracts where bulk tippers are a necessity to cut operational turnaround on delivering aggregates into site, as well as shifting waste off of site.
Michael George, Director of Contracting at Mick George Ltd commented: “It’s integral for us to continuously invest and expand our fleet to meet the demands of the market. Although the Tippers that we have always used to operate enable us to carry out the majority of works, we need to spot opportunities to become more efficient as a Company, and we believe the new Bulk body Tippers will allow us to do just that.”
George continued: “With our Contracts department expanding week-by-week, we know we need to move with the times, and the new technology and functionality on the bulk body tippers set us apart from our competitors; offering customers more efficient options for their haulage needs.”
