New Commercial Concrete Director

Mick George Concrete has appointed a new Commercial Director as the business reshapes its Senior Management team in a bid for continued growth among the industries elite.

Mark Swan, arrives with a wealth of industry knowledge that dates back over 30-years, consisting of an extensive background in quarrying and concrete, with firms such as Tarmac and Frimstone, respectively.

During his career, Mark has been responsible for sales and distribution of Ready Mixed Concrete, Aggregates and Asphalt throughout East Anglia, London and the South East of England, generating in-excess of £100m revenue.

Mark has been involved with material delivery and logistics for many transportation programmes, including the M11 Stansted Interchange and RAF Mildenhall Runway, as well as working in partnership with National Rail to supply aggregates nationally. In addition, Mark also sourced materials for the Athlete’s Village which formed part of the 2012 London Olympic bid.

Mark will be overseeing sales, customer service, support for large infrastructure projects and new site activity, for Mick George Concrete.

Mick George Concrete grew revenues by 7.5% in 2018 (YOY) and contributed to many high-profile projects along the way - most notably; the IDT’s A14 Huntingdon to Cambridge improvement scheme.
