10.02.16 - Mick to have a ball at the Mayors Charity Event
The annual Mayors Charity Ball takes place this Friday 12th February from the Peterborough Town Hall and provides the Mayor of Peterborough, Cllr John Peach the opportunity to undertake ceremonial and fundraising activities to raise the profile of the city whilst supporting five selected charities.
The evening which is tailored to recreating an authentic and memorable 1940’s blitz theme is set to receive support from a number of local businesses and special guests. 130 people are expected to turn out on the evening, raising £1,500 for Peterborough Age UK, Scouts, Girlguiding, Hope into Action and Combined Cadet Force.
One of the headline sponsors for the event is local business Mick George Ltd who will have a table of 10 guests in attendance and have made financial contributions. The evening will include themed competitions, dancers, music as well as an appearance from Royal Anglian 158 squadron.
