14.04.2016 - Mick George Ltd renews support to Agriculture and the local community
Not only does Mick George Ltd continue to support the region’s leading entertainment and events venue Peterborough Arena, but this is hand in hand funding agriculture and rural life in the region.
Mick George Ltd, now listed as one of the fastest growing companies over the past 3 years by the Sunday Times, has now secured its continued corporate partnership at Peterborough Arena. This agreement sees the partnership of the two companies, strengthening and developing business across the region.
All of the profits made at Peterborough Arena are donated back to the East of England Agricultural Society and used to support agriculture, farming and rural life in general.
Already engaging with the local community here at the showground, Mick George Ltd donated railway sleepers for the East of England Agricultural Society’s Kids Country education programme as they are building a Dragon Fly pond. Over 5000 local school children from around 50 schools will be able to learn and discover in this new outside area at the Food and Farming Day on the 1st July.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd: ‘’We are pleased to have extended our partnership with the Peterborough Arena for a second year. The showground hosts a number of fantastic events throughout the year in which we’ve had a presence, allowing us to build some fantastic relationships with the local community and other businesses.’’
‘’Agriculture and specifically Landowners are fundamental to some of the services our business provides, for this reason we’re always keen to assist this audience wherever possible, whether that be financial sponsorship or through the products and services we offer.’’
Jeremy Staples, Chief Executive Officer at the East of England Agricultural Society: “We are delighted to have Mick George Ltd as one of our corporate partners, this will give their business the well-deserved profile and platform it deserves in and around the East of England Showground, Society and Arena. They are a fantastic local company who share the same values as the East of England Agricultural Society and I look forward to a long and healthy relationship.”
