04.07.2016 - Mick George Ltd opens second site in Leicestershire
Having announced themselves in the Leicestershire market six months back, initially providing Muck Away services to the construction industry from its Ellistown quarry base, Mick George Ltd has now opened a much larger waste recycling facility in Mountsorrell, Leicester, that will enable the business to offer its comprehensive list of services.
The company will now supply domestic, trade and contracting clients throughout Leicestershire with a whole array of services from Skips, Concrete, Aggregates, to its Home and Garden product range and through to complex Demolition or Earthworks based services.
Subsequently the launch has created numerous local job vacancies which will undoubtedly be welcomed news for the local economy. These positions include Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Plant Operators, Commercial Vehicle Drivers as well as site staff and management.
Over recent times, Mick George Ltd has been awarded the accolade of Tipper Haulier of the Year, in addition to inclusion within the Financial Times Profit Track 100. These achievements follow the businesses establishment as one of the leading suppliers to the construction industry in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, for which they are now seeking to replicate in the Leicestershire region.
The business which prides itself on fantastic customer services has achieved rapid growth of late, through geographical expansion, its ever increasing product offerings, and on-going engagement with the local community through a variety of initiatives.
In addition to the Community Fund which is now available to Leicestershire based community projects, in which £500,000 is made available each year, the organisation is on the look out for local schools to get involved with its Free ‘Truck Demonstrations’ whereby the company will visit schools to provide ‘road safety’ tutorials as part of its commitment to ‘safer roads’.
Jon Stump, Finance Director of Mick George Ltd: ‘’The business has experienced continuous expansion in recent years, and adding new geographic locations for our service offerings is a key part of our long term growth strategy.
Commercially we have gained a lot of interest in and around Leicestershire for our products and services, so the natural progression was to have a facility within the region whereby we can provide our wide range of services to both trade and residential customers.’’
Stump continued: ‘’We pride ourselves on being a local company that endeavours to satisfy our customers with a friendly and reliable service. Our experienced team are available to provide professional technical advice. We have forged some wonderful relationships within the local communities around our other sites and that is something we’re keen to continue in Leicestershire.’’
