Not resting on recent success, Mick George Ltd continues to invest with a brand new Multi-Million Pound Recycling Plant at St Ives, Cambridgeshire its latest addition. The facility will replace and upgrade the existing procedures in place, bringing a whole array of benefits and efficiencies to the waste service provided by the company.
The new plant incorporates state-of-the-art, modern technology that is set to revolutionise the way the business operates and handles waste, confirming Mick George Ltd at the forefront of the industry.
The site will significantly grow the capacity of waste processed integrating both manual and technological techniques, consequently increasing employment prospects for local residents.
Other benefits include the ability to recover greater resource types as the company strive to achieve their zero waste to landfill aspiration. Waste that is often dismissed as ‘residual waste’, that to small or dirty to be recycled will now be utilised as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for Power stations or similar facilities in exchange for materials such as Coal.
The bespoke unit is optimised to process waste materials in a much more advanced and methodical way than ever before. The main components will focus on the feeding, screening, shredding and segregating materials, resulting in a more quality controlled end product.
To celebrate the launch, Mick George Ltd has opened up the facility to local councils, authorities, schools, organisations, communities and influential bodies, to witness for themselves the incredible development. This will present the opportunity for demonstrations, guided tours, and the chance to meet representatives to discuss the waste disposal services on offer from the Company.
