Last week the top performing registered companies and suppliers congregated in London, celebrating the annual ‘Considerate Constructors Scheme National Awards’.
The luxurious Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, was the setting to reveal the UK’s most considerate companies and suppliers of 2016, with a slight alteration to proceedings to that of previous years, thanks to the inclusion of ‘suppliers’ now being able to win the major National Award.
The Scheme, which has registered around 900 companies and suppliers in the past 12 months, is widely recognised within the industry as one of the most prestigious, and for those that were fortunate to be present on the day, marks a significant accreditation to hold.
Considerate Constructors Scheme Executive Chairman, Isabel Martinson said: ‘’The Awards celebrate the phenomenal efforts being made to improve the image of the industry for the benefit of the public, the workforce and the environment.’’
Richard Beresford, Chief Executive of the ‘National Federation of Builders’, and Liz Male, Chairman of ‘TrustMark’ announced the winners of the respective Bronze, Silver or Gold Award winners, before moving on to the coveted ‘Most Considerate Company’ and ‘Most Considerate Supplier’ Awards.
And it was another successful occasion for local business, Mick George Ltd, who followed up the recent CIWM Waste Management award, with another this time around.
Michael George, Contracting Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’This is the second time we have achieved this recognition, and shows the tremendous effort the business, and particularly our Contracts Managers continually make to improve health, safety, quality and environmental standards.’’
George continued: ‘’It is pleasing to see so many within the industry combining to portray such a positive image.’’
