Mick George ‘Chip In’ with £1,000 Prize Fund
Since announcing a sponsorship agreement with Mick George Ltd at the beginning of the season, fans at Northampton Town Football Club have been putting in a gallant effort in their attempts to ‘master’ the half time ‘Skip Challenge’.
Despite concerted efforts, it has been without success, and subsequently the prize fund has been growing each week to the £1,000 mark that was up for grabs at the weekends fixture against Oxford United FC.
Step forward Philip Emery, a young Cobblers spectator who showed his fellow fans that packed in to Sixfields Stadium just how to do it. In doing so, he has landed himself a nice £1,000 cash injection from the sponsor.
Cobblers fans are encouraged to follow in Phillips footsteps and try to conquer the Skip Challenge in forthcoming home fixtures. Visit here
What They Said:
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’The aim of the Skip Challenge is merely to offer some entertainment to spectators throughout half time. It has been well received, but now that a contestant has taken home the Jackpot prize, I’m sure more people will be itching to have a go.’’
Stump Continued: ‘’The Northampton fans can also take bragging rights over rivals Peterborough United FC, as they’re the first club this season to achieve the main prize.’’
