Littleport Fun Day
June will see the return of the annual Leisure Centre family fun day in Littleport that has in recent years been a huge success. Organisers are hoping to surpass the 1,500 visitors that attended last year’s event, with more fun on offer than ever before.
Previously entertainment has come in the form of various sports and games, including five-a-side football, stalls, model airplanes, tug-of-war, dog shows, classic cars, indoor ice rink as well as a fly over from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a visit from members of the Women’s Institute.
One special addition this time around comes from Mick George Ltd who has recently completed Earthworks for the construction of a newly developed primary, secondary, special needs schools and community leisure facility.
Keen to support the event, the business will be providing both financial and service support to the occasion, in addition to a physical presence on the day, where they will have the Mick the Skip Mascot in attendance, truck demonstrations and the Chip in the Skip Challenge with prizes for participants and donations towards the Leisure Centre amenity.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd said: ‘’It has been a pleasure for our business to be involved in a project that is sure to deliver a quality learning and leisure environment for the local residents.’’
Stump continued: ‘’Having concluded work in the region, it was clear to see exactly what this project will mean to the community and it was important for us to give a little something back. We hope that with our assistance, those that attend the day have a lovely experience’’
