London to Brighton Charity Ride

Having conquered the wilds and exotic of the Costa Rican Jungle in 2017, Jon Stump, Finance Director of Mick George Ltd will this year challenge himself once again in a bid to raise further charitable funds for the Lewis Moody Foundation.

The journey this time around will be slightly less desirable, predominantly incurring the concrete A22 highway between South London and Madeira Drive on Brighton sea front, as Jon tackles a mass-participation bike ride. Jon won’t be alone on this venture; former England Rugby Captain Lewis Moody MBE will be just one of thousands of riders taking part.

Putting himself through the proverbial pain barrier once more, Jon is keen is to replicate the impressive charity donation that he secured last year. Please visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jonathan-stump to show your support for a fantastic cause.

The Lewis Moody Foundation was set up in 2014 to raise money for vital research into brain tumours, reduce diagnosis times through Head Smart and give families affected much needed respite and the chance to create special memories.

• Brain Tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40
• 10 Children and teenagers are diagnosed with a brain tumour every week in the UK
• Less than 2% of cancer research funding in the UK is spent on brain tumours

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd: ‘’Although last year’s expedition was multi-disciplined and in a much different climate, I’m expecting the trial this time around to be equally as challenging in its own right. No doubt I’ll be walking in to the office a little uncomfortable the following day.’’

Stump Continued: ‘’Undoubtedly, any aches and pains are worthwhile for the satisfaction you gain knowing the small contribution that has been made to a significant health problem. Learning a little bit more about the devastation attached to the disease makes me all the more determined to play a part in one day, finding a cure.’’
