Farm Club Open Day
This weekend, the Farm Club in St. Ives is hosting a special Open Day whereby visitors are permitted entrance free-of-charge.
Ahead of the date - Sunday 30th June, the organisers are working tirelessly to ensure that the location is presented in prime condition as they look to showcase the amenity as a safe, enclosed environment for educational, practical and social interaction, that nearby communities and students of all-ages, can enjoy.
In preparation for the event, local business Mick George Ltd who operate facilities only a stone’s throw away, are currently completing complementary Earthworks services at the Old Pig Farm.
Although there are no admission fees to enter, the day is intended to raise funds which will contribute towards the build of a new garden area for ‘alternative provision’ students.
The Open Day is sure to offer fun for all the family with activities scheduled throughout the occasion, including; animal education talks, a free-range BBQ, music, entertainment, games, raffle prizes and much more.
Michael George, Managing Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’We recognise that volunteer led initiatives such as this don’t have the physical resource or financial support to complete projects like these easily. As a long-established neighbour of the site, we’re more than happy to offer our assistance so that the group’ can get the location ready in time.’’
