23.05.2016 - Eynesbury Rovers FC are feeling the heat
Following a successful season which saw the Eynesbury Rovers first team finish 6th in the UCL premier division, the club are proactively making improvements off the field in preparation for the forthcoming expansion that will see the thriving youth section increase from 5 to 14 teams next season.
Thanks to funding from Mick George Ltd, a number of renovations have been made to the clubhouse with the installation of a new state-of-the-art heating system that includes 2 new boilers and 17 radiators providing heat and hot water throughout the premises.
Matt Plumb, Chair of Eynesbury Rovers FC said: “The club is very grateful for our grant from the Mick George Community Fund. We now have a modern, fully functioning system which, as well as giving us the obvious heating benefits, will enable the Club to hugely reduce its heating bills. We’ll therefore be able to use these savings to help sustain and grow the Club.”
Now complete, the facilities will become a central hub for the community to gather, hosting private parties, groups or clubs as well as fund raising capabilities from the 3G sports surface and Gym hire.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’The clubhouse was in serious need of repair, caused by general ware and tear over the years. Like many of the partnerships we’ve formed with local sports clubs, we recognise funding projects such as this aren’t easy or top priority.‘’
‘’We hope that the members and local residents are now able to have a much more enjoyable experience when they next visit.’’
