Gymnasts at the Diamonds Gymnastics Club, Rushden have been able to replace worn matting for high quality fitted matting that adheres to the highest safety levels as a result of a grant from the Mick George Community Fund.

The Diamonds Gymnastic Club is situated on the site of the former Rushden and Diamonds Football Club and provides children from the surrounding towns with a quality sporting facility that all of the community have access to.

The club regularly host visits from schools, regional competitions and club competitions, and they will now be able to allow access to those with special needs as a result of the improved matting and overall increased levels of safety.

“The gymnasts are thrilled with the new equipment and it has improved the club both from a safety point of view and aesthetically too. We recently hosted a county boys’ competition and the feedback from visiting guests was so encouraging.” Amanda Broadhurst, Grants Coordinator.

The Mick George Community Fund donated almost £10,000 to the Diamonds Gymnastics Club. The Mick George Community Fund is an exciting grant programme funded by donations from Mick George Ltd.
