Cambridge United FC Sponsorship Announcement

It is with great delight that Mick George Ltd can announce that the business has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Cambridge United Football Club, that will see the company remain as official front of shirt sponsors, among other arrangements for a further three seasons.

The revised partnership will commence with immediate effect, remaining until completion of the 2019/2020 season.

The agreement will see the Mick George Logo printed on all replica strips, home, away and third kit, worn in competitive action by the club at all levels. This includes the first team, reserve team, and all subsequent youth, academy, ladies and futsal teams.

As with previous years, the partnership will still incorporate a number of other elements, like the Commercial Waste services to all club facilities, as well as numerous additional community and fan engagement offerings, including their famous halftime skip challenge and local mascot 'Mick the Skip'.

The news follows the recent collaboration of the two parties in unique style, to launch the club’s new replica home strip.

They said:

Jez George, Chief Executive Officer at Cambridge United FC stated: "This is the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the club's history and we are extremely proud to continue such a close association with Mick George Ltd.

"Their support for Cambridge United FC over the years has extended beyond the financial sponsorship of our kit, as they share the same values that are vital to help the communities we work in. The enthusiasm and desire to find ways to be involved with the Club in any way possible, makes this a special partnership for the Club.

"We look forward to growing our relationship still further in the next three years and beyond."

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’We have built a genuine and valued affinity with both the club and supporters since we became the front of shirt sponsor in 2013 and consider that we are seen as much a partner, and fellow fan, as opposed to just another corporate sponsor.

Stump Continued: ‘’Through our association with the club, which dates back well before the shirt sponsorship commenced, we have regularly invested in the club, supporting various initiatives. We are proud to be the club’s front of shirt sponsor and hope that by signing a three-year extension to the current deal, reflects the fantastic relationship that has been built between the Mick George Group, Cambridge United FC and its supporters.’’
