From cheerleaders to fixture t-shirts and much more, Mick George Ltd as official kit sponsors of Cambridge United FC, has once again made considered efforts to make the first home league fixture of the season a memorable one for the Club’s supporters.
Not that the Amber Army will need any encouragement, but the local firm has committed to distributing thousands of ‘clappers’ to fans ahead of kick-off, to ensure the atmosphere in the Abbey Stadium replicates the ambitions of the Club for the new campaign.
As well as displaying a ‘good-luck’ message to the team, the ‘clappers’ also feature special discount codes for the services and products supplied by the construction specialist, so don’t miss out.
A selection of the Cambridge United FC playing squad will be handing out the ‘clappers’ and hundreds of co-branded Mick George Ltd and Cambridge United FC footballs outside of the main stand, between 1.30pm – 2.30pm (subject to availability) for the Newport Town AFC fixture (Saturday 10th August).
Not content with that offering, Mick George Ltd will also add to the other planned entertainment on the day with appearances from Mick the Skip mascot and the revised skip challenge format, during the half-time interval.
The skip challenge for the 2019-2020 season will be a two-team affair with successful participants banking £100* and a guaranteed prize for the best effort if no one manages to land the ball in the skip as intended.
Each team will have two players, made up of an adult and child of whatever relationship status, that will each have two attempts to land the reward.
