Four separate community projects in Peterborough, Stamford, Northamptonshire and Norfolk will each share part of the £110,000 donation made in the opening round of the Mick George Community Fund.

As the penultimate phase of lockdown is on the horizon, and a complete return to normality without any restrictions imminent, local communities will be glad to learn of some of the fantastic recreational upgrades taking place in our counties, courtesy of funding from the Mick George Group.

Five separate community projects in Peterborough, Stamford, St. Ives – Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Norfolk will each share part of the £110,614 donation made in the opening round of the Mick George Community Fund.

Since the initiation of the scheme, more the 150 separate initiatives have received more than £4million.

Those fortunate enough to have received backing this time around include:

Cambridgeshire:

  • Nassington Cricket Club: Pavilion Refurbishment and Redevelopment (£30,000)
  • Nene Valley Community Centre: Outside Play Equipment (£10,000)
  • St Ives Corn Exchange: Entertainment Facilities Improvement Project (£22,614)

Leicestershire:

  • Husbands Bosworth Millennium Woodlands Trust: (£10,000)

Norfolk:

  • Buxton with Lamas Parish Council: Buxton Village Hall Play Area Upgrades (£35,000)
